Dale Hennessy’s residential property in Narromine, NSW, was equipped with a 20.9kW solar system and 41.74kWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The project was designed to help the customer achieve up to 95% independence from the grid while providing automatic blackout protection during random grid outages.
Before the installation, the property faced high electricity costs and growing energy demand. Frequent and unpredictable grid outages created a need for reliable backup power, while the customer wanted to achieve greater energy independence and long-term self-sufficiency. The installation also involved a steep tin roof, requiring careful planning and experienced installation to ensure the system could be safely and efficiently installed.
